This is what it looks like with the flash to show off the SHINE-factor!
Surprise! It's an easel card! I used sandpaper (yes, sandpaper!) for the sand, so it looks AND feels like sand! :) I used the DS to cut the words and adhered them to the sandpaper. Added a few embellies and TA-DA! I cute beach themed birthday card for a cute little boy!
I chose one of my favorite images from Dustin Pike (this was not a requirement, I just seemed right since he's sponsoring the challenge!) and colored it with pencils. I used Glossy Accents on Dudley the Dragon and on Santa's nose and boots. Once that was dry, I flocked the trim on Santa's suit with a thick, linen white flocking powder.
I used red cardstock to mat the image and then combined it with green cardstock and shiny snowflake DP. I added some mini roses and rounded my corners to finish the card.
I put them both together and this is what I came up with!
I used a vintage image from Clearly Vintage of a child blowing bubbles which I've been holding on to for the perfect project. I chose to use shades of black and white for my color combo. The image is matted on white vellum and then on metallic silver paper. I thought the silver would bring the eye to the image better than the vellum alone.

Isn't the strawberry paper divine? I loved it and had no idea what I'd use it for until I read the AllSorts challenge this week. I was so excited I finally got to use it!! :) I machine stitched around both the red rectangle and the berry paper. I used the Sizzix Texture Boutique and Swiss Dots Folder to emboss the card base. The yummy ribbon is from the $ bin at Joann's and is self adhesive. I thought it went well with these colors. The image is a free digi (I'm sorry I don't remember from where!) You can't really see the sentiment but it says "Hand picked for You"! I topped it off with three little strawberry stickers I found from Mrs. Grossman's.
Here's what I came up with: 
I used an image from PollyCraft (Earth Fairy) and colored her with pencils. Then I used Glossy Accents on her dress, shoes and wings and used Diamond Dust glitter.
I used papers from the pink palette except for the purple image background. I thought the image deserved to "pop" a little from the pinks. I'm not sure it's clear in the pictures but the pale pink rectangle is Gemstone cardstock and is shimmery.
I added this FAB chunky glittered tea roses for my flower requirement and chose these because they are awfully sparkly! I added a few doodles, some rhinestone flowers (left bottom), sparkly rhinestone sprig (fairy hand) and a rhinestone butterfly (sentiment) as finishing touches.
