Happy Martin Luther King Day everyone! I hope you all are staying warm! We got close to 30 inches of snow this past week and are fixing to have another storm tomorrow! BRR! Today I have a cute creation I made to participate in Polka Doodles' challenge this week. The challenge was to follow the sketch below and use only Red, White and Blue. I used a digi cupcake from The Cutting Cafe and cut "Happy" using my Cricut and the Alphalicious cart at 1.5 inches. The blue oval is a fibrous paper, which I've never worked with before. I made the cupcake "wobble" by putting a small, handmade spring on the back. See video for actual movement! I added the red satin ribbon and a white button with a fine white twine bow. I also doodled and faux stitched around the oval and outer edge. How do you think it came out? I think I followed the sketch to the letter. This would be perfect for a RWB lover or a July birthday!
