Dog Shaped Card!

Phoenix loves his Grammy sooo much so of course he begged me to make card for her for Mother's Day! I used the Cricut DoodleCharms cart. This was a fun and surprisingly easy card to make. I paper pieced to add dimension and faux stitched around the front of the card. Isn't he just too cute?? :)

Mother's Day Card!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies out there! That includes my Mommy friends who have four-legged babies! :) This is the Mother's Day card I gave to my Dear Mother this morning.

I found this yummy "mother" paper at JoAnn Fabrics and the fuschia "Gemstones" paper there as well. I stitched (yes, with the sewing machine!!) around the lime paper and used a "Soft Spoken" sticker to top it off. I used ribbon, pearls, baubles and the button from my stash. The charm I made myself using a long bead pin, a gold flower charm from my stash (that I adhered a rhinestone flower to!) and added pink and opal beads to before I attached it to my ribbon. I faux stitched around the "mother paper". I ran the "gemstones" paper through my Sizzix Texture Boutique using a flowery Cuttlebug folder and added the Luster Baubles randomly to the design.
The butterfly is a stamp that I stamped on white cardstock using Moonlight white ink then used Ranger Perfect Pearls in Berry to add color and shimmer. I cut the butterfly out and added it to the card. I added some pearls along the spine and rhinestones on the anetenna.
I hope you liked this creation as I've been waiting to show it to you all! Don't forget when I get to 10 followers I will be giving away some sweet CANDY so spread the word!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day Flowers!

I created this cute little bouquet of flowers for my Mother to enjoy! I used the flowers from the Cricut George and Basic Shapes cartridge at various sizes. I used "Gemstones" Metallic paper to give the flowers some sheen. The flowers are attached using a brad that is topped with a rhinestone. I added the dowels (skewers in the BBQ section at Target!) and stuck them into some floral foam that I hot glued to the bottom of this cute little pail ($ bin at Target!). I used the Cricut DS and the Tear Drop cart to make my words, adhered them to the "Gemstones" paper and tore around them to add a different flair. I'm not one for tearing but I've been trying it lately. I also inked the edges of my flowers with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink and curled the petals with the help of a pen! I added the grass and glittery butterfly for a finished look. The ribbon ($ bin at M's! Can ya tell I like my $ bins??!! lol) was topped off with a charm I made myself using a bead pin and some pink and pearly beads. My Mom loved her flowers and I hope you like them too! The great thing is that we can pluck the "Happy Mother's Day" sign out and enjoy them all year! The last picture shows how metallicy the paper can be with the flash on! Enjoy!

Sister Butterfly Card!

I've had a busy night! Hope your night is going well! I created this "sister" card for my dear sister for Mother's Day.
I used "gemstones" pink paper and green cardstock. I'm not one to usually "tear" my paper but I thought I'd give it a whirl on this card! The ribbon is super cute pink on pink butterflies and flowers. The "sister" word is a sticker from Recollections. The butterfly is a stamp that I stamped twice on white cardstock using "Moonlight White" ink and then used Ranger Berry Perfect Pearls to get the pale pink coloring. I cut one of the images and used it to "pop" up off the paper. I added mini pearls to the butterfly's "spine". I added three large pink pearls and faux stitching to the white oval.
The inside of the card.

Altered Mother's Day Set!

So here is the "Altered" Mother's Day set I made for my Dear Mother. I did not take a pic of the card prior to licking the envie, so that you will have to wait to see until after she opens it on Sunday! Sorry!! The Glass bottle and box posts are further down on my blog but I thought you all might like to see the set together. Enjoy and Happy Mother's Day!

Oh! Look at that! There's already something "hidden" in the box! :)
