Christmas Thank You Card!

I created this cute 4x6 card using Dustin Pike's snowfriends image. I've used this image a few times already this winter but it's just so darn cute! The three background papers are glittery but you can't see that in the picture. :( I hand colored the image using pencils and then stickled around my snowman and on the hats of the penguin and teddy. This card was based off a sketch from Polka Doodles this week (see pic below).
How'd I do on my interpretation of the sketch? I am SO excited as I'm headed up to New Hampshire tomorrow for a 4 day scrapbooking retreat at the beautiful Pilgrim Pines camp resort with some FAB ladies!! I don't know how much scrapping I'll actually get done since we're all so social but it'll be a great time anyway! I hope everyone has a great weekend and is having a great New Year!

Chic Cody Happy Birthday Card!

Howdy all! I created this Chic Cody Birthday Card using the Chic Cody Digi Stamp from Pollycraft Digi Stamps and More. She was a FREEBIE! Love those! I've been dying to use her in a project and this was the perfect one! :)

This is the first card I've made using REAL stitching on the sewing machine!! Not perfect, but I'll take it! :) I stitched the brown background, and all three panels. I've also loaded this card with texture/dry embossing using my Sizzix Texture Boutique. This little machine has come in VERY handy! LOVE it! I used the Cuttlebug Swirl folder and Swiss Dots folder. I left the swirl embossing as is but decided to ink my Swiss Dots with Vintage Photo Distress Ink so they dots would show up better. I colored Cody with pencils and used Glossy Accents on the pink part of her hat, on her hair, shirt and pants. I paper pieced her together using pop dots. Once everything was assembled, I added this great brown/pink polka dotted ribbon to the left side. I added a pink button tying it with pink twine and adding the Happy Birthday charm. I embellished my charm by attaching a jewelry pin with three pink glass beads. Added my Green/Pink flowers pinned together with a brown/pink brad and PRESTO! I was finished! I know this post wasn't as detailed as usual so feel free to ask questions should you have any!
