Altered Glass Bottle!

Hello all! Hope your weekend has started off on the right foot! I enjoyed a beautiful day out running errands then a fun dinner out with my sister! :) I'm ready for a nap! But, alas, I find myself in my crafting corner! lol I needed to upload these pics. So, part two of my Mother's Day gift....An Altered Glass Bottle (This is a "Got Flowers?" Bottle but any bottle would work). I wrapped paper around the center (strategically placed over the stubborn labels that would not come off! Ok, I didn't try that hard since I knew I'd be covering them anyway! :)~ I wrapped a ribbon of paper around the bottle and adhered it with Glue Dots (my new fave adhesive!). I don't know why I didn't use these before but they are as awesome as the glue gun without having to get all stringy! Then I used the Cricut to cut (Easter 2010 cart) the Doily Circle in the same paper as I used to wrap around the bottle. I then cut a pink circle using my CM Circle Patterns and wrote "Mother's Day Kisses" using the CM Round Tip Marker. I did the faux stitching with the CM Fine Tip Black Marker. I popped the pink circle up with pop dots and placed it on my doily circle. After that was finished, I added my doily circle (again strategically!) to my bottle using glue dots.

I adhered pale pink satin ribbon to the outside of the silver screw on cap, added several blooms to the top and used a small sheer pink ribbon to add a little something to the center of the ribbon. I created my own beaded charm using translucent and pearly pink beads and attached that to a satin pink bow that I adhered (using glue dots!) to the bottom of the doily circle. It was missing something so I topped the bow off with a K & Company translucent butterfly sticker! (See pictures below)

Last but certainly not least, I added Hershey's Kisses to the inside of the bottle! YUM!

I think my Mom will like this gift...for the CHOCOLATE!!! :) I had fun making it and I think I might make one for my sister too! Aren't I nice? lol Somebody's got to eat the rest of the kisses!!

Baby 6x6 Scrapbook!

This is the small 15 page paper scrapbook I made for baby Bella (and Mommy Becca!). Originally I thought I would make the album into Bella's first pictures with each of her family members. Then I decided I would make "Bella's First Year" book. Finally, I decided to let Bella's Mommy decide how she wants to use it! The following pictures are the pages and the last page that folds out into a 3 page layout. I really enjoyed making this album for Becca and Bella! I hope Bella looks back at it, as she's growing up, with fond memories!

This is a Creative Memories album and everything in it is CM except the ribbon (I changed it!), the button, the luster baubles and the pink pearl in the flowers. Even the flowers are CM!!! :)

Welcome Baby Card!

SOOOOOOOOO.....It's Thursday and I visited with my really good friend Rebecca and her almost 1 month old baby girl, Isabella! As promised, I'm posting the card and gift I made for them. :)

Here's the card welcoming Baby Bella to the world! :) I stitched the patterned paper on the sewing machine and textured both the green and pink papers using the Sissix Texture Boutique. I added some color to the swiss dots texture on the pink paper using white ink and a dauber. I added the sticker and some faux stitching as well as Luster baubles and heart gems to finish it up!

This vellum quote is from the Creative Memories "Expressions of Baby Girl" quote pack. LOVE it! :)

Chic Codi "Hi" Card!

This is a cute little card I made using the Chic Codi PollyCraft Digi Stamp, a butterfly & branches rubber stamp and the Scalloped Egg cut from the Cricut Easter 2010 Ltd Edition Cart. I colored Codi using pencils, stamped the butterfly & branches stamp on purple paper using whitte pigment ink then pieced the elements together to create this cute little 3x3 card!

Short and sweet as was the process for this Codi card! ;) PollyCraft has Friday Freebies and gives away one of their digi stamps every week! Check them out!!

Altered Wooden Box!

Howdy all! I saw this cute little unfinished wooden box at M's the other night [for $1!!!] and knew exactly what I was going to use it for. It just so happens Polka Doodles Challenge this week is to 'alter it'!

So here's the wooden box before I took off the gold closure off and began my alterations!

Using three different DP's I covered the box and the lid. I used glue dots rather than breaking out the glue gun and they worked VERY well [to my surprise!]! :) I added some 'Got Flowers?' Flowers to the top again with glue dots. I reattached the closure and added the fab pearly ivory ribbon!

This is a pic of the new 'altered' box opened. It was a lot easier than I thought and didn't take me very long to alter! I hope you like it too! :) After looking at it in this pics, I added a translucent K & Company butterfly "landing" on the flowers.
